Covid celebrates an important milestone this year as they mark three decades in the A/V industry. Since 1982 Covid has been manufacturing innovative and industry-leading products. From a modest beginning, Covid has developed its business model to offer quality products, fast turn-around and competitive pricing nation wide. Based in Tempe Arizona, Covid works with many well known A/V dealers, distributors and representative firms throughout the United States. Over the past few years the move to digital has offered some unique challenges when it comes to manufacturing plenum cable solutions. As more HDMI devices are introduced for commercial use, the demand for HDMI cabling has also been on the increase. Covid was one of the first manufactures to offer Plenum HDMI Cables. Covid Plenum HDMI cables are constructed using 24AWG stranded copper with a low smoke PVC outer jacket.

In addition to the Plenum HDMI cables, Covid offers a complete digital cabling solution including custom wall plates and panels. Covid Announces Increased Capacity – Precision Panels Division

Tempe, AZ 12/27/11 – Covid announces the increased capacity in their custom wall plate and panel production division.

Adding some new state-of-the-art production equipment along with more personnel dedicated to wall plate and panel assembly. In addition, Covid has committed a large amount of their Tempe, Arizona facility to accommodate these new upgrades and the growing wall plate and panel orders. Norm Carson, President of Covid explains, “We have had such success with our Precision Panels Division that these new additions are a welcome and much needed update to Covid. These changes have allowed us to offer our customers one of the fastest turn-around times in the industry. The added bonus of our Panel Spec Design Software gives customers all the tools they need to order, quote and design wall plates right from their own desktop.” Covid Panel Spec is quickly gaining in popularity with new users. In an ongoing effort to perfect the software, Covid has added some new features to make the customers job even easier. One of these additions is the availability of pre-defined engraving on many of the most popular wall plate connectors. Plus, in an attempt to help work more closely with the overseas market, standard European Union/UK plate sizes have been added to the drag and drop menu.
